The following dispatch was written by land defenders camping in and near the Grandmother trees, ancient cottonwoods along the border in the San Rafael Valley near Lochiel, Arizona. It was anonymously submitted to L&F and is published below in Spanish and English.

DAY #31
Four days ago, the resistance camp at the base of Grandmother Tree grew into three separate encampments: one at the base of grandmother tree, a second holding off construction to the East, and a third holding off construction to the West. This resulted in a combined 10 mile stretch of border where wall construction could not proceed as well as the occupation of a forklift essential to the development of the wall.
As Sunrise Ceremony took place, brave protectors of the land, creatures, and people of the San Rafael Valley held their outposts to the East and West of Grandmother Tree.
Around 8:00 a.m., Border Patrol rolled through making threats demanding land protectors leave the roadway referencing the Roosevelt reservation and threatening they would be back to cite anyone still in the easement. The people stood their ground.
Just before noon approximately 30 Border Patrol trucks and dirt bikes returned to further intimidate and threaten land protectors while Fisher Sand and Gravel and Vision Quest Security snatched their machines and were escorted off site.
The land protectors rallied around Grandmother Tree and will continue to stand with her! Many of the agents have left (likely to go home, cry and reflect on being on the wrong side of history) but Grandmother still stands and so do the people.

El Campamento del Árbol de la Abuela se Expande y Detiene la Construcción. La Intimidación de BP se Enfrenta a la Resiliencia.

Hace cuatro días, en Lochiel, Arizona, el campamento de resistencia situado al pie del Árbol de la Abuela se dividió en tres campamentos distintos: uno al pie del Árbol de la Abuela, un segundo que impedía la construcción hacia el este y un tercero que impedía la construcción hacia el oeste. Esto dio como resultado un tramo combinado de 10 millas de frontera donde no se pudo continuar con la construcción del muro, así como la ocupación de una carretilla elevadora esencial para el desarrollo del muro.
Mientras se llevaba a cabo la Ceremonia del Amanecer, los valientes protectores de la tierra, los animales y la gente del Valle de San Rafael mantuvieron sus puestos avanzados al este y al oeste del Árbol de la Abuela.
